things can be broken down

Now, I know that there are many things that can influence your weight on any given day: time, water/food intake, bowel movements (ahem,) lady times, etc, etc, etc. But, for the most part, I have been stable between 140 and 145 since we got to Seattle. The only time I lost weight at all was when I had a momentary/imaginary stomach illness that caused me to be nauseous for about a week and not eat much. Then, I dropped about five pounds in a week and weighed in at 135 (isn't it fun what not eating can do for you? =P)

In any case, I've been going to the gym a bit and using the MyFitnessPal app to keep track of calorie intake and burning, and just being more aware of what I'm putting into and doing with my body in general. We joined the gym about a week and a half ago. I've been a couple times since then, usually for about 30 minutes to an hour each time. I also walked around a couple days at lunch when I wasn't feeling up to going to the gym.

I weighed myself using WiiFit yesterday, (I usually use our scale here at work, because it looks fancy and accurate and digital,) and I had to re-do it three times because I didn't believe the number. I went from weighing 146.2 to 142 in less than two weeks! I'm excited and motivated.

And now I'm off to the gym for my half-hour lunchtime workout. The good thing about not sweating much is that in the walk from my gym back to the office, I cool off and dry off enough to change back into my work clothes and not feel too stinky. Wipe my forehead and neck with a cleansing cloth and I'm good to go! The bad thing about not sweating much is I overheat and dehydrate easily. I am all about the balancing acts.

How have your weight-loss/get healthy goals been going lately?
